A.
Stuffer gearbox
Stuffer gearbox is driven by the LHS halfshaft
from the main gearbox.
Goals
of the stuffer
gearbox :
-
activate the stuffer
-
drive the knotter
gearbox
-
drive the hydraulic pump for the density system.
Check
the oil level with the glass
B.
Stuffer + shearbolt
•Is
synchronised with plunger, stuffer gearbox and trip mechanism.
•Protected
with shearbolt
and sensor.•
•The
position of the pivot point of the stuffer has changed which delivers a gradual
increasing speed of the stuffer and so a better top fill.
••The
shape of the stuffer
bar changed from square to round. Also the dimension increased.•
•The stuffer
teeth have a sawteeth
shape which eliminates crop accumulation on the precompression chamber.•
•The
routing of the greasing and sensor wiring loom changed to avoid that the lines
are broken during the stuffing.•
•The
material of the stuffer teeth
is hardox.
C.
Precompression chamber
“Fill
flow kit “ improves “top filling” :
standard on rotor units, option on packer cutter units
Stuffer trip sensor fingers repositioned (in
centre of floor base) – no jamming with stones, giving improved crop flow and
higher daily output

Crop holding fingers
These
are driven from the RHS of the baler and will open when the stuffer
is moving. Crop holding fingers and stuffer are mechanically linked.

•Controls
the size of flakes injected into the bale chamber.
•Lever
in forth notch (from the rear) to start is ok for most conditions.
