Basic components in big baler part 11 12. Oiling & greasing

12. Oiling & greasing
A.Oiler

An automatic central lubrication distribution system takes oil from the pump and provides a constant regulated oil supply to the drive chains
The fixed displacement system ensures that each chain receives the correct amount of lubrication
Integrated automatic oilier
Doses controlled with an electrical motor commanded by BCM-VT.
Do NOT put motor continuously ON. This will burn out the motor.
B. Grease pump
Centralised greasing is standard
Seven main distribution blocks, 80 grease points.
An optional automatic centralised greasing system is available
The greasing rate can be adjusted on the monitor
The automatic greasing models maintain the manual grease nipples for additional greasing in very dusty conditions or to clear blocked lines
Automatic greasing system = centralised greasing system with pump.
Pressure up to 350 bar.

Fuses to  be replaced in case of problems for direct power supply.
   3 spare fuses
         Aut / man switch
 BCM VT:
  “Baler Control Module”
  Contains software
B. Monitor options

No monitor and use the monitor of a VT tractor (e.g. Intelliview II or Intelliview II plus)

Infoview II monitor – Black and white monitor
Full Isobus 11783

Intelliview III monitor – Colour touch screen monitor
Full Isobus 11783

C. Rear view camera

With the IntelliviewTM III monitor, an optional cameral can be fitted to keep track of the baling process
Safety is improved when manoeuvring in confined spaces

Integrated automatic oilier

Basic components in big baler part 8 9. Bale chamber

9. Bale chamber
A.Shape
Side walls and top section moves
2 density cylinders compress the bale
Density adjustable through monitor and the BCM adjusts the hydraulic pressure to maintain the preset level.

B. Hay dogs
Bottom haydogs bolted on version

C. Eject system

Standard : Full chamber cleanout
Option : Last bale eject
D. Mechanical bale length control
Bale Length is set by removing the quick attach pin and repositioning the trip arm stop into the desired position
A guide decal will assist in selecting the positions for specific bale lengths
A mechanical bale counter is also fitted in addition to the monitor electronic counting

Basic components in big baler part 7 8. Knotter

8. Knotter
A.Knotter drive shaft + protection
Protected with shearbolt. (replace every 2500 bales)
Knotters are shaft driven from the stuffer gearbox
Knotter & driveline protection is provided by a shearbolt
Contains the sensor for PTO rpm control.
Sensor receives signal of crowngear inside gearbox (z = 68 ; n = 11/68)

C. Stack assembly

Knotters are not painted but treated with special black anodising for reliable knotter performance from 1st bale onwards.
Easy accessible through flip-up cover and removable side shields
A sensor (new position) on the guard will indicate to the operator that the guard is in the open position by displaying a warning message on the monitor

D. Twine finger

E. Knotter brake
Large diameter knotter brake disc offers a smoother quieter cycle, reduced knotter shearbolt breakages and reduced needle damage.
Function: - To keep constant load on needles during tying cycle.
                  - Help to hold needles in fix position.
                  - Prevent needles from overrunning.
Spring length 32 mm
F. Knotter fans

The knotter fans are activated from the monitor and will start automatically as soon as the PTO speed exceeds 600 rpm
Knotter fans can easily be lifted up and parked to allow
acces to the twine tensioners and knotters.
Knotter fan assembly can be lifted and parked for easy access for twine threading at start off.

G. Needles
Wider needle rollers with no gap beside the roller for the twine to get trapped.

Basic components in big baler part 5 6. Rotor

6. Rotor
improved rotor scraper design
= improved function & stronger design = fewer blockages and greater output
• teeth spacing reduced from 16.5mm to 11mm
= improved cut and greater efficiency
= reduced power consumption

Feeder opening on rotor cutter machines is wider than the bale
This wider opening helps to feed crop to the sides of the bale ensuring better filled bales
Rotor cutter BB9060 – 1000 mm wide
Rotor cutter BB9070/BB9080 – 1400 mm wide
Rotor turns at 86 rpm
The rotor tines are paired, with one shorter than the other to
  - help crop flow
  - prevent rotor blockages
Behind the rotor, scrapers maintain the rotor clean.

• More durable scraper beam• Deep drawn feeder floor for smoother crop flow (instead of welded assy – rotor cutter units only)

B. Rotor cutout clutch

The  clutch needs greasing every 250 hrs

C. Knives
1. Standard knife                                                                            1. Rotor units
2. Straw knife
3. False knife
Hard faced knives as DIA

D. Knive drawer

0.8m rotor medium cut – 11 knives
0.8m rotor short cut option – 23 knives
1.2m rotor medium cut – 17 knives
1.2m rotor medium cut – 33 knives
Medium cut is sufficient for more than 80% of the customers.
When replacing knives, there is no longer need to unlock the knives.

E. Knife protection
